Hoist V2 Gym

Although the Hoist v2 gym is the next model number up from the Hoist v1, it’s radically different in design and a whole different animal than the v1.

The v2 eliminates the static plane chest press from the v1, and adds free motion cables that allow you to more closely mimic free weight and dumbbell training.

I’m a big fan of the free motion cables and think most users will find them useful for core training and sports specific movements that you can’t perform on similar home gyms.

The v2 also has an adjustable seat and the back pad can be positioned five different ways for comfort that will fit most users well, making it easier to get into the proper alignment for different exercises.

Hoist v2 specs and features:

  • 155 lb. Radial Loc weight system
  • 5-Position angling back pad with self-tracking seat
  • 2” x 4” steel frame
  • Wide groove pulleys on high, mid and low cable stations
  • Commercial quality rubber grips with aluminum end fittings
  • Split Weight Cabling delivers 50% resistance to mid and low pulleys
  • Upholstered roller pads with aluminum end fittings
  • Strap handles with revolving grips

The Hoist v2 is a good home gym choice for users looking for functional training and core training gym, but like the Hoist v1 you’re going to pay the price to get the Hoist v2 as it’s almost $500 more than the v1 (and that’s without the optional leg press station).

If you want to save money over either the Hoist V1 or V2 and get, what is in my opinion a better gym, take a look at the Bodycraft Xpress Pro Gym.
